OEDM Group was brought on to standardize internal processes across frontline staff in order to provide savings in resource efficiency
The client’s business was becoming more complex while also facing pressures from growing demand and declining funding. The purpose of the project was to identify ways to reduce the lead time for the application development release process.
The client was halfway into a 3-year journey of implementing promotional management (phase I), perpetual inventory (phase II), and automated replenishment (phase III) plans via JDA software. OEDM Group was requested to support the client in creating all future-state perpetual inventory (PI) processes for phase II. During this exercise, process gaps in phase I were identified and OEDM was asked to develop solutions for both phases. Phase I involved repairing core business processes and leveraging automation to reduce rework and data integrity issues.
OEDM Group was engaged to assist investors who had taken a stake in the client and had invested in the organization for 4-5 years. The client manufactured cameras for the entertainment industry. Revenues had been falling and key stakeholders asked OEDM to review the business and provide recommendations on how to improve the value of their performance.
The client was faced with a growing competitive landscape and was struggling to capitalize on market share. Through an in-depth analysis, the client realized that they were only performing at a fraction of their full potential. A 5-year transformation plan was created in order to address how to bridge the gap to reach full potential.
The client’s shareholders were expecting and requiring growth and profitability. The business was hindered by non-integrated business processes from mergers creating repetitive processes and non-value-added activity. OEDM Group was brought in to drive shared services integration and operational excellence through business process improvement.
